WELCOME TO FRANCIS DOUGLAS MEMORIAL COLLEGEThe people of Taranaki will tell you that we have a great school here in New Plymouth. Founded in 1959 and named after a local priest who died an heroic death during the Second World War, we are a state integrated Catholic day and boarding college for young men throughout their teenage years. With the departure in 2009 of the Brothers, who are still our proprietors, this remains a truly Lasallian school for the 740 fortunate boys, 120 of who board in La Salle House, to be formed in the virtues of Faith, Service and Community before taking their places in society. I invite you to explore our website and make contact with us at office@fdmc.school.nz to reminisce or explore possible enrolment for another fortunate student. Martin Chamberlain Principal |
