Upholding Academic Integrity 

At FDMC, we are committed to maintaining a secure and fair assessment environment for all students.  As such,  we have introduced Exam.net as our assessment platform,  updated our Digital Use Agreement and our Authenticity coversheet & Generative AI Use Policy. 

These measures have been introduced to support teachers and the College in maintaining and monitoring academic integrity.  All parents/caregivers are required to complete the Digital Use Agreement form for their sons attending the College.  All students must read and sign an authenticity statement before starting any NCEA Internal Assessment.

EXAM NET:

The use of Exam.net enables teachers to supervise assessments effectively and reduce the risk of misconduct, including the inappropriate use of AI tools. Together, these processes help ensure that student work accurately reflects their own knowledge and abilities.

  Blocks copy-paste functionality, stopping the transfer of AI-generated text and answer sharing.

• Advanced Monitoring:
  Tracks suspicious behaviour and instantly alerts teachers for prompt action.

  Supports unbiased evaluations by allowing teachers to grade without knowing student identities.

• Focus & Security:
  Prevents access to other apps and websites during exams, ensuring students stay focused.

• Support for All Students:
  Exam.net also provides accommodations like text-to-speech, translation, enlarged text, and extended time for students with special assessment conditions, enabling them to succeed.
