Digital Use Framework


Purpose

This framework outlines the safe, responsible, and ethical use of digital technologies across the College community. It reflects our Catholic Lasallian values of dignity, respect, service, and integrity, while promoting a culture of responsible digital citizenship.

This framework applies to:

  • Students – using school-owned or personal devices for school activities.
  • Staff – using school or personal devices for teaching, learning, administration, and communication.
  • Visitors and Contractors – accessing the College’s digital systems or devices.

1. Core Principles for All Users

All users are expected to:

  • Respect the dignity of every person.
  • Act safely and responsibly online.
  • Protect personal and confidential information.
  • Use digital technologies primarily for educational, professional, or approved purposes.
  • Model and reinforce Catholic and Lasallian values in all online interactions.

2. Student Digital Use Agreement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use technology for learning, faith formation, and safe personal activities.
  • Treat all members of the College community with respect online.
  • Protect personal information and seek permission before sharing images or recordings.
  • Report unsafe or inappropriate content immediately.
  • Complete their own work, avoid plagiarism, and not engage in illegal activity.

Compliance:

  • All students must sign a Digital Use Agreement annually.
  • The College may monitor devices and networks, and breaches may result in disciplinary action or restorative measures.
